Core reading is free. Plus is optional and renews automatically unless canceled. The price and any trial are shown in the app before purchase. Your mandatory consumer rights always apply.
Your agreement with us
These Terms of Service govern your use of Versomi and this website, provided by asteriskai inc (“we”, “us”, or “our”). By using the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use the service.
You must be able to enter a binding agreement under the law where you live, or have the permission and supervision of a parent or legal guardian who accepts responsibility for your use. You must meet applicable age and consent requirements and the requirements of the app store through which you obtain the app.
Our Privacy Policy explains how information is handled. Agreeing to these terms does not turn on optional analytics or replace any separate consent required for data processing.
The Versomi experience
Versomi provides Scripture reading and discovery, search, full chapter context, saved verses, sharing, reading preferences, and optional local reminders. Core reading works with bundled Bible editions without an account. Some online features require internet access or third-party services.
Features, editions, supported devices, and availability may change. We may release updates needed for security, compatibility, or improvement. We will respect applicable consumer rights when making changes to paid features. The website’s interactive reading preview is a demonstration; its saves do not carry into the app and reset when you leave or reload the page.
App license and Scripture content
Subject to these terms and applicable store rules, you may use Versomi for your personal, non-commercial use on devices you own or control. Our software, branding, and original design remain the property of asteriskai inc or their respective licensors.
For the iOS app, Apple’s Standard Licensed Application End User License Agreement governs the app license unless a different license is expressly supplied through the App Store. These service terms supplement that license; they do not replace Apple’s usage rules or reduce rights that the applicable license or law gives you.
Included Scripture editions are sourced from eBible.org with their applicable public-domain notices. Edition, publisher, and license details are available in the app’s “About this Bible” section and from eBible.org. We do not claim exclusive ownership of public-domain Scripture. These terms do not restrict rights you independently have in that text.
Translations, canons, and verse numbering can vary. Topic collections are curated references, not a new Bible translation or personalized theological advice. Please contact us if you notice an error in an edition or attribution.
Plus subscriptions, trials, and billing
Versomi’s core reading features are free and may include ads. Optional Versomi Plus removes in-app ads and provides the additional themes and collections described in the app. Available plans, billing periods, localized prices, and any eligible trial are shown before you confirm a purchase. The store’s purchase confirmation is authoritative; this website does not sell subscriptions.
Automatic renewal: payment is charged to your Apple Account under the terms displayed at checkout. A subscription renews automatically for its selected period unless you cancel before renewal. To avoid the next charge, cancel at least 24 hours before the current period ends, subject to Apple’s current terms and applicable law. Your account may be charged for renewal within the 24 hours before the period ends.
Trials: a free trial is offered only when shown for your store account and selected plan. The displayed duration and eligibility rules apply. Unless canceled in time, the trial converts to the paid subscription at the price and billing interval shown when you subscribe. Cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends to avoid a charge. No trial is guaranteed for every user or plan.
Manage or cancel: open iOS Settings → your name → Subscriptions, or manage your Apple subscriptions. Deleting the app or clearing saved verses does not cancel a subscription. Cancellation generally stops the next renewal; access continues for the remaining paid period, subject to the store’s trial, refund, and cancellation rules.
Restoration: use “Restore purchases” in Versomi with the Apple Account used to purchase. Restoring an eligible subscription restores Plus access, not saved verses that existed only on a device. Purchases do not transfer between Apple and other app stores in this version.
Refunds and changes: Apple handles App Store refund requests through Report a Problem, subject to its rules and any mandatory legal rights. Price changes follow the store’s notice and consent procedures and applicable law. If Plus ends, your saved verses remain, while access to paid features ends and an unavailable paid theme may fall back to a free one.
Your saved verses and preferences
There is no Versomi account or cloud synchronization in this version. Saved verses and preferences are stored locally. Device backup services may preserve them according to your settings, but we do not guarantee recovery after app removal, device loss, backup failure, or reinstallation.
You control what you save and share. Clearing saved verses removes them from the app on that device. Information you share through another service is governed by that service’s terms. Keep any independent copies you need.
Use the service responsibly
You agree not to interfere with the service, bypass payment or access controls, distribute malicious code, infringe others’ rights, misuse advertising or purchase systems, or use the app unlawfully. Do not copy, resell, or modify our proprietary app software except as allowed by law or an applicable license.
Nothing here limits lawful uses of public-domain Scripture, accessibility rights, or rights under applicable open-source licenses. If misuse materially breaches these terms, we may take proportionate steps to protect the service, subject to required notice and applicable law.
Ads and third-party services
The free app may display clearly labeled third-party advertisements. An ad is not our endorsement of an advertiser, its claims, or its products. External websites, shared content destinations, Apple, and other third-party services have their own terms and privacy practices.
We are responsible for our service as required by law, but cannot guarantee the availability or performance of services controlled by others. You remain responsible for any internet or mobile-data charges from your provider.
Availability and your legal protections
We aim to provide a reliable and thoughtful reading experience, but do not promise uninterrupted or error-free service, a particular personal or spiritual outcome, or indefinite availability of a feature. Versomi provides reading material and is not professional medical, mental-health, legal, or other regulated advice.
To the extent permitted by law, the service is provided “as is” and “as available”, without additional warranties. We are not responsible for indirect or consequential losses, loss of profits, or loss of local data to the extent such exclusions are lawful.
These limits do not exclude liability that cannot legally be excluded, including applicable liability for fraud, intentional misconduct, or other protected claims. Nothing in these terms limits mandatory consumer guarantees, statutory remedies, or rights under your app-store agreement. Where a limitation is not permitted, it does not apply to you.
Ending use and changes to these terms
You can stop using Versomi at any time. Separately cancel any subscription in your store account to stop renewal. We may suspend or discontinue a service or feature when reasonably necessary, with any notice, refunds, or other remedies required by law and the store’s rules.
We may revise these terms to reflect product or legal changes. We will update the date on this page and provide additional notice or request acceptance when required for material changes. If you do not agree to a revision, you may stop using the service and cancel future subscription renewals.
Questions, disputes, and other terms
Please contact support@asteriskai.net so we can try to resolve questions or disputes. This does not prevent you from using any complaint process or court available under applicable law, and does not require mandatory arbitration or waive class-action rights.
The governing law and court jurisdiction are determined under applicable law, including mandatory consumer protections where you live. If a provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions continue to apply to the extent permitted. Our failure to enforce a provision is not a waiver of it.
The service is provided by asteriskai inc, not Apple. Apple has no obligation to provide support for Versomi beyond its own store obligations. The allocation of app-license responsibilities and any third-party beneficiary rights under Apple’s standard license remain in effect.
We’re here to help.
